Peter Carthew making fudge in a copper pan

Our Process

Our process is timeless and classic, from the magic of the open copper pan to the giant spoon that lovingly stirs, just as it was in the beginning, by Peter Carthew working for Brian and Lesley Gibson in Looe, who had an old recipe for fudge and an idea to make it in the back room of their shop, Baytree Stores.

Our fudge is made in batches, using local ingredients from the Southwest for authenticity. We are strong believers in supporting the fantastic region we belong to and so you can be sure our Clotted Cream is as Cornish as the sky is blue.

Once poured, our fudge is cut and packed by hand, ready to be delivered to our customers across the West Country and beyond. We are proud to be real people and not machines, bringing attention to detail and warmth to the work we do.

Our Planet and Us
We promise to do our best to find ways to reduce, repair, reuse, recycle and replace to minimize our environmental impact.
